Take my breath away

My friend Laura sent me a blog post link from Curious Expeditions, and here was my favorite:

It's the Handelingenkamer Tweede Kamer Der Staten-Generaal Den Haag, the Hague, Netherlands.

I'm inspired. One more thing to do on my Life To-Do list... Check out the other stunning library photos on the blog post and let me know which is your favorite!

*gasp* I love them ALL! But I am partial to the George Peabody and the Library of the Benedictine Monastery of Admont, Austria.

So here's what happened: I stared at the photo for a moment, before reading the caption, and I was like, "Wow, that's a crazy stairway." And then it sank in: "OMFG. THAT'S A LIBRARY!!!" Wowsers. Gorgeous. I want one on my street.

PS -- I'm in DC, the penultimate stop on my book tour, and tomorrow morning I have a few free hours. I've been trying to decide what to do with them. Now I think I might go to the Folger Shakespeare Library! Even if I have to break my ass walking there!

(Am I allowed to say ass on your blog?)

:o)

Stace, I totally agree with you - the George Peabody Library is incredible, one of my faves too. But here's the thing: do you remember that 80s movie Mannequin? Well, it kind of reminds of the store in the movie - I see the picture and I keep seeing Kim Catrall hanggliding. I know, totally nerdy...

Kristin, that would be INCREDIBLE! Tempting, right? Did you guys notice the photo of Riggs Library at Georgetown University? It's rather steampunk and awesome. And hell to the yes you can ass on my blog! Kristin, darling, you can say anything here and I'd find it charming! 8-)
